Background remover for thumbnails
Cut yourself out of a photo, add the white "sticker" outline thumbnails use, put it on a new background, and download a PNG. The AI model runs in your browser: your photo never leaves your device.

Tips for a clean cut-out
- Use a photo of a person. The model is trained on portraits: faces, head and shoulders, upper bodies. Objects and animals may come out partly.
- Good light, sharp focus. Soft or dark edges, motion blur and hair against a busy background are the hardest parts.
- Add an outline. A white or yellow outline makes a cut-out face stand out at feed size, which is why so many thumbnails use it.
- Check it at feed size once it's in your thumbnail, with the thumbnail checker and the feed preview.
FAQ
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The model runs in your browser using WebAssembly. Nothing is sent to Clickframe or anyone else.
Why is the first run slower?
Your browser downloads the model (about 37 MB) once and caches it. After that, a cut-out takes a second or two.
Can I use the result commercially?
Yes: the cut-out is your photo. The model (MODNet, Apache 2.0) and runtime (ONNX Runtime, MIT) are open source; see the notices.
