AI thumbnails with text that's actually spelled right.
Clickframe turns your video idea into click-worthy thumbnail concepts, renders the image with AI, and lets you add crisp, editable headlines. Then it shows you how the thumbnail looks in the YouTube feed.
What's your next video about?
Describe it or paste a YouTube link. You'll get four distinct thumbnail concepts: the hook, the emotion, the scene and a short headline.
Image models can't spell. So we don't let them.
Most AI thumbnail generators paint the headline into the picture, and you get warped letters, typos and wasted credits. Clickframe asks the model for a clean scene with room for text, then sets your headline as a real text layer.
Everything between your idea and a finished thumbnail
Concepts first, credits second
Free AI concepts give you the hook, emotion, composition and headline before you spend anything. You only pay to render the concept you like.
Text that's always right
Bold thumbnail fonts, outlines, shadows and highlight boxes. Drag it where you want and change the words without regenerating.
Your face, consistent
Upload a few photos once. Clickframe puts you in the scene with the expression the concept calls for, video after video.
Edit by typing
"Make the background red." "Add a crowd behind him." Describe the change and get a new version from the same image.
See it in the feed
Preview your thumbnail next to others, on desktop and phone, dark and light, with the timestamp where YouTube puts it.
An honest second opinion
The AI score rates clarity, emotion, contrast, text and curiosity, and tells you exactly what to fix. It works on any thumbnail, including your current ones.

Questions creators ask
Is Clickframe free?
Yes. Thumbnail concepts are free and need no account. A free account includes 5 image credits with no card required. One credit makes one AI image, and failed generations are refunded automatically.
Can ChatGPT make YouTube thumbnails?
General chatbots can draw an image, but they often misspell headline text, ignore the 16:9 frame and can't show how the result looks in the feed. Clickframe is built for thumbnails: text is a separate layer that is always spelled right, and you can preview at real feed sizes before exporting a 1280×720 file.
What size should a YouTube thumbnail be?
1280 × 720 pixels (16:9), at least 640 pixels wide, under 2 MB, as JPG, PNG or GIF. Clickframe exports exactly that. Our YouTube thumbnail size guide has the details and a free resizer.
What do YouTubers use to make thumbnails?
Most use Photoshop, Canva or a hired designer, and more and more use AI thumbnail makers. Clickframe combines AI ideas and images with a simple text editor, so you get a finished thumbnail in minutes.
Will the text really be spelled correctly?
Yes. The AI never draws your headline. It renders the scene and leaves space, and your words are typeset on top in a real font. You can change them at any time without spending a credit.
Can I put my own face in the thumbnail?
Yes. Upload one to four clear photos once to create a persona, and Clickframe keeps your face consistent across generated thumbnails. Your photos are only used for your own generations, and you can delete them at any time.
How much does a thumbnail designer cost?
Freelance thumbnail designers typically charge from about $20 to well over $100 per thumbnail. With Clickframe a thumbnail image costs one credit, which is a few cents on a paid plan.
Who owns the thumbnails I make?
You do. Use them on YouTube or anywhere else. Please only upload photos you have the right to use.
